NI: Arthur J. Downey
Prominent Banbridge solicitor Arthur J. Downey has passed away.
A graduate of Queen’s University Belfast, Mr Downey qualified as a solicitor in 1978 and founded Arthur J. Downey Solicitors in 1981.
He retired in 2018 but his sons Arthur L. Downey and Rory Downey continue to practice at the firm he established, which closed its doors today as a mark of respect.
In a statement on Facebook, the firm said: “He will be sadly missed but his legacy will live on in the firm that he was so proud of.”
