Avalanche of awards for QUB’s Sarah Hair
Queen’s University Belfast School of Law has congratulated Sarah Hair on her graduation with six prestigious prizes.
Ms Hair, the top student in her LLB class, has been awarded the McKane Medal, the Oxford University Press Law Prize, the Rory Conaghan Cup and Prize (jointly), the Lord Lowry Prize, the Sweet & Maxwell Prize and a Head of School Contribution Prize.
Accepting all her awards, she said she was “extremely grateful” to be the recipient of the awards.
“It is a most rewarding end to my time as an undergraduate student at QUB School of Law and equally an immense encouragement in future study and practice,” she continued.
“The credit entirely belongs to certain faculty members, particularly those involved in mooting and advocacy – the practical insight and critical approach this fosters is highly transferable to academic achievement.
“I cannot express how grateful I am for the schooling and support I’ve received from both teaching and administrative staff.”
In a LinkedIn post, the School of Law said: “Sarah, what can we say? We are bowled over by your success and genuinely grateful for all of the support you gave to our School of Law during your time here.
“Your success resulted from your own efforts and hard work, and our staff are grateful for the support you offered them during your time here. We wish you all the success in the future.”
