Barrister appointed to Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
Peter Dennehy BL has been appointed to the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland for a four-year term.
Mr Dennehy graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1986 with a BA, BAI in Engineering and worked in the telecommunications industry in Ireland and the UK. He went on to work on International Standards as the Head of Conformity Assessment at the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) in Geneva, Switzerland.
On his return to Ireland, he worked in senior management roles in the Road Safety Authority (RSA), the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC).
Mr Dennehy studied law at the King’s Inns and is now a practising barrister in the areas of general practice, regulatory law, planning, environmental and climate law, company law and judicial review.
He is a chartered engineer and an accredited mediator and arbitrator. He is a Fellow of Engineers Ireland (FIEI) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
