Barrister Michael Lyons elected vice-president of Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland Council
Dual-qualified pharmacist and barrister Michael Lyons has been elected vice-president of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) Council for 2019/20.
The PSI is a public body and an agency of the Department of Health which regulates pharmacists and pharmacies in Ireland.
The 21-member PSI Council is responsible for governance and oversight of the PSI, and also plays a statutory judicial role.
Mr Lyons received a master of pharmacy degree from the University of Kent in 2011 and began his pharmacy career as a support pharmacist in Cork and Dublin.
He was called to the Bar of Ireland in 2016 after attaining a barrister-at-law degree at the King’s Inns.
