NI: Barristers host frock swap at the Inn of Court
The Bar of Northern Ireland’s charity committee hosted its first ever frock swap at the Inn of Court in Belfast on Friday night.
The charity clothes-swapping event was organised to raise cash for The Welcome Organisation, the Bar’s chosen charity of the year.
Adele O’Grady QC, chair of the committee, told Irish Legal News: “It was lots of fun and fashion at the Inn of Court in Belfast on Friday night when the Charity Committee hosted its first ever Frock Swap.”
Ms O’Grady added: “Our members donated the most beautiful items for exchange - dresses, handbags and shoes.
“Fashion designer Una Rodden and Sinead Smith make-up artist were on hand for advice and styling - they also generously donated exquisite prizes for the raffle and the silent auction.
“The important thing is that we raised lots of money raised for the Welcome Organisation - we are in awe of the wonderful work that they do 365 days a year. Huge thanks to all of our members who donated money, items, prizes and their time.”
