Beauchamps named Law Firm of the Year 2018

Beauchamps has been named Ireland’s Law Firm of the Year at the annual Irish Law Awards.

Over 90 firms, practitioners and in-house teams attended Friday’s ceremony, which was opened by Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan and hosted by RTÉ presenter Miriam O’Callaghan.

In recognition of her 30-year career, Ms Justice Susan Denham was the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by the Institute of Legal Research & Standards (ILRS).

Dublin practice Richard Grogan & Associates, which contributes a regular employment law column to Irish Legal News, was named Employment Law Team of the Year.

Mr Grogan told Irish Legal News: “Winning this award was very much a team effort. We have a great team working together.

“As a team, we look forward to continuing our relationship with Irish Legal News in giving up to date information to readers on important developments in Employment Law.”

Other notable awards on Friday included:

  • Sligo solicitor Michael Monahan won “Excellence in Client Services”, sponsored by Ormond Meeting Rooms;

  • Dillon Solicitors Dublin won “Excellence in Marketing & Communications”, sponsored by the Financial Times;

  • Reddy Charlton Solicitors was named Probate Firm/Lawyer of the Year, sponsored by ENKI;

  • Stuart Gilhooly from H.J. Ward & Co. was named Solicitor of the Year, sponsored by Medlaw.
