Belfast firm Diamond Heron welcomes family lawyer Karen Edwards
Belfast-based Diamond Heron Solicitors has announced the appointment of Karen Edwards as a solicitor in the firm’s family and matrimonial practice.
Ms Edwards brings almost 10 years’ experience in the area of family and matrimonial law. She completed her degree in Law with Economics before embarking on a Master’s in Management and Corporate Government, which led to her qualifying at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) as a practising solicitor.
She undertakes cases such as divorce and separation, domestic violence, children’s contact and adoption, public law care orders and financial settlements.
Ms Edwards deals with contentious matters and complex legal issues before the courts in respect of clients and advises a wide range of clients including vulnerable adults, children and the elderly in an effective and empathetic manner to assist in managing emotionally unpredictable situations.
She is a member of the Law Society of Northern Ireland Children Order Panel and she has a particular interest in children’s order law, having represented clients in wardship, child abduction and Hague Convention matters.
