Belfast firm MKB Law donates 100 trees to Inver College
Belfast-based MKB Law has donated 100 trees to Inver College in Carrickmacross, Monaghan as part of a new tree planting initiative operated by Restorify.
Restorify is a social enterprise platform that connects tree donors with available land across Ireland.
The trees donated by MKB Law were planted by students from Inver College with support from staff at Síolta Chroí, an environmental education centre in Monaghan.
The trees, including the ‘Pedunculate Oak’ (which supports more life than any other native tree species in the UK and Ireland), were planted in the area surrounding the college’s playing fields.
Lynsey Henderson, associate director at MKB Law, said: “Our staff were keen to find an innovative new project that reflected our own values. After meeting with James McConville, co-founder of Restorify, we knew we had found the perfect partner!
“Restorify worked closely with us to find a site where we could sponsor the entire planting mission. Thank you to the students who took the time to plant the trees and to Gareth Conlon from Síolta Chroí for facilitating the planting – we look forward to seeing their progress!”
