NI: Belfast schoolgirls flown to London for International Women’s Day
Two Belfast school pupils are visiting the London headquarters of Pinsent Masons to mark International Women’s Day today.
Lauren Stewart and Megan McPhillips from Ashfield Girls High School are part of a nine-pupil delegation travelling to the international law firm’s headquarters for the occasion.
There, they will join Andrea McIlroy-Rose, real estate partner and chair of the Female Futures Network at Pinsent Masons.
Along with counterparts from schools in Birmingham, Leeds, London and Manchester, the girls will take part in the ‘Inspiring Girls Conference’ - thinking about their own aspirations and career paths.
As well as workshops and talks from business leaders, artists and Olympic gold medallists, they will hear from the WE Charity about global gender inequality and how they can help raise awareness.
