NI: Belfast solicitor Donald Thompson locked up for charity
Belfast solicitor Donald Thompson was locked up on Friday – as part of a fundraising challenge in aid of International Justice Mission (IJM).
Mr Thompson, a partner at John McKee, was locked up at Down County Museum with seven other volunteers until he received enough donations to pay his “bail”.
He broke through his target and has raised almost £1,300 via his Virgin Money Giving page, which is still accepting donations.
International Justice Mission, the world’s largest anti-slavery organisation, is John McKee’s charity partner.
