ByrneWallace and LK Shields complete merger
ByrneWallace and LK Shields Solicitors have completed their merger to create Byrne Wallace Shields.
The firm said on Friday that the merger, first announced in November 2024, was now completed, creating a merged firm with over 430 employees, including 220 solicitors.
Former ByrneWallace managing partner Feargal Brennan has become managing partner of the merged firm, while former LK Shields managing partner Richard Curran has become senior partner.
Byrne Wallace Shields offers services across corporate and commercial law including corporate/M&A, disputes and regulatory, banking and financial services, EU and competition, tax, property, infrastructure construction and energy, public sector, employment, technology, AI, cyber, and data privacy.
Commenting on Friday, Mr Brennan said: “The merger has been extremely well received by clients and colleagues alike.
“We can now give our clients a larger, better resourced firm to service their needs, and we can target larger, more complex mandates from existing and new clients.”
Mr Curran added: “We’ve had a fantastic response from clients who see the advantages for them in having a larger, better resourced firm to support them.”
