ByrneWallace staff hit high note in national workplace choir competition
The ByrneWallace staff choir, “Legally Sound”, have celebrated coming second in the Workplace Choir of the Year Final 2018.
The choir, founded in 2016, was bested by the Sacred Heart of Jesus National School staff choir, who won for a second year.
ByrneWallace staff, who saw off 29 other choirs to make it to the finals, performed “The Pink Panther” by Henry Mancini and “Adiemus” from Songs of Sanctuary by Karl Jenkins.
As a result of the choir’s performance, they were also invited by international charity Aidlink to perform at the National Concert Hall in November 2017 as part of a national fundraising concert.
The choir was paired with Irish indie rock band The Pale at the concert, who subsequently invited ByrneWallace staff to appear on stage with them at their concert in Whelan’s as backing singers.
Catherine Guy, former managing partner at ByrneWallace, said: “We are very proud of Legally Sound’s achievement and success, and extremely impressed by their effort and commitment. We actively encourage participation in social activities that help to foster greater teamwork and a sense of camaraderie and pride in the firm.
“Legally Sound are great ambassadors for us and having heard them perform, I have no doubt that with their talent, they will go on to achieve even greater things.”
