Call for statutory gender quotas on Irish corporate boards
Statutory gender quotas on corporate boards are effective and should be introduced in Ireland, the National Women’s Council of Ireland (NWCI) has said.
The national women’s membership organisation will launch a report later this month titled Increasing Gender Balance on Boards: The case for legislative gender quotas in Ireland.
The launch event on Thursday 24 June will hear from NWCI director Orla O’Connor; Dr Pauline Cullen; Anne O’Leary, CEO of Vodafone Ireland; Frances Fitzgerald MEP; Senator Fiona O’Loughlin, chairperson of the women’s parliamentary caucus; and Mark Fenton, CEO and founder of MASF Consulting.
Tickets for the free online launch event are available from Eventbrite.
