NI: Carson McDowell clients donate £10,000 to firm’s chosen charity
Clients of Carson McDowell handed £10,000 to the Belfast firm’s chosen charity of the year after a successful transaction.
The cheque handover marked the end of the firm’s year-long partnership with the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT).
It follows a series of fundraising events by staff, including the 2017 Belfast marathon relay, Glow Day, the Christmas raffle and a bake sale.
Following a recent transaction, clients Bruce and Stella Kelly requested to make a very generous gift of £10,000 to support the law firm’s charity of the year, which was presented to Gayle Baird, CBIT’s campaigns and communications coordinator.
Mr Baird said: “The support of the local business community in Northern Ireland is vital to our work.
“We are fortunate to receive some statutory funding - but to develop and offer more choice of events and activities to the growing number of families we support requires additional funding.
“We could not continue to develop our service in this way without the help of people like Stella and Bruce Kelly and the whole Carson McDowell Team. We have been amazed by the generosity of Stella and Bruce and we look forward to putting some exciting plans in place!”
The Child Brain Injury Trust is based just outside Belfast supports almost 250 families all over Northern Ireland.
