Mr O’Neill, who joined the firm in 2017, is co-head of its defence insurance litigation team.

He specialises in the defence of employer’s liability and public liability claims north and south of the bodrer, with expertise in all industrial disease claims, policy disputes, defending fraudulent claims and recovery actions.

FOIL is the representative voice of the defendant insurance lawyer community, which advances a reforming agenda for a more transparent and proportionate claims environment that benefits claimants and insurers alike.

“I am honoured to have been nominated as the Northern Ireland president of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers,” Mr O’Neill said.

“I look forward to working with the FOIL members across all jurisdictions… and spearheading positive change within the insurance industry.”
