NI: Cleaver Fulton Rankin forms partnership with cancer charity
Belfast law firm Cleaver Fulton Rankin (CFR) has announced a new partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan has been named as the solicitor firm’s Charity of the Year for 2016. CFR staff will be raising funds to purchase clinical nurse specialist (CNS) hours for those in need of the service.
Joanne Young, fundraising manager for Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “For people living with cancer, a Macmillan CNS nursing hour is so valuable so all money raised by Cleaver Fulton Rankin will go towards this essential service.”
Sarah Burrows, head of the charity department at Cleaver Fulton Rankin, added: “Our staff have been delighted to be involved and contribute to fundraising ideas that will make a direct and tangible contribution to local people in need of support.
“We are now getting ready for our first external event organised by Macmillan during this partnership, where a number of our members of staff will be taking part in a Zipline across the River Lagan on 16th April. We are really looking forward to this event which will be fun for all to attend whilst contributing to a great cause.”
