NI: Cleaver Fulton Rankin hosts networking seminar for younger staff
Cleaver Fulton Rankin recently hosted a networking skills seminar for young professionals at their headquarters in Belfast.
The firm invited networking expert Derek Reilly to speak at the event. Mayo native Derek is widely known throughout Ireland and further afield for his extensive training experience. Most recently, Derek has gained acclaim for his knowledge in the art of networking and speaks on the topic both nationally and internationally.
Speaking about the event, Mr Reilly said: “I had the pleasure of delivering a seminar on networking at the offices of Cleaver Fulton Rankin. It was great to work with a forward thinking legal firm that understands the importance of networking for both professional development and personal development.
“We had a lot of fun on the night with positive feedback from the attendees. My aim is that everyone learns something new but more importantly the reason why before they learn the how.”
As social media has become a fundamental part of modern networking, Cleaver Fulton Rankin recognises that it is important for professionals to equip themselves with the knowledge and skills to use these platforms and appropriately to their full potential.
Maria McNally, solicitor in the dispute resolution department, said: “As online networking becomes more prevalent it is becoming the norm for professionals to use platforms such as LinkedIn to market themselves and their business effectively.
“The seminar delivered by Derek provided attendees with practical advice on using online platforms to their full potential.
“Feedback from attendees confirmed a renewed confidence in their ability to connect with people through different methods.”
