Colette Bennett joins The Wheel as director of advocacy and research
Solicitor Colette Bennett has joined The Wheel’s senior management team as director of advocacy and research.
The Wheel is Ireland’s national association of charities, community groups and social enterprises, representing over 2,300 members.
Ms Bennett has spent the past 14 years working at a senior level in justice advocacy and organisational development.
In her new role, she will provide strategic leadership and direction to The Wheel across its work, with a particular focus on public policy, research campaigns and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders including members, and policy-makers influencing change at both national and local levels.
A qualified solicitor, she also holds a Master’s in social justice and public policy from All Hallows College (now part of Dublin City University) and has delivered guest lectures for Trinity College Dublin, DCU, ATU and SETU. She is also a member of the Royal Irish Academy’s social sciences committee.
