Conleth Bradley SC joins Glencree Centre board
Conleth Bradley SC has been appointed to the board of directors of the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation.
The registered charity, established in 1974 in response to the conflict in Northern Ireland, works with individuals and groups in Ireland and around the world to transform conflict, promote reconciliation, encourage healthy relationships and build sustainable peace.
Mr Bradley, a practising barrister, has joined the board and will serve as chair of Glencree’s governance committee.
Aisling McKenna, who works in higher education at DCU, has also been appointed to the board, bringing its total membership to 10.
Glencree chair Ciarán Ó Cuinn said: “We are delighted to welcome Conleth and Aisling to the Glencree board. Both are national leaders in their respective fields and bring fantastic legal, governance, strategic planning and institutional analysis skills to the board.
“Of equal importance to me is that both Conleth and Aisling are deeply committed to the Glencree mission of reconciliation on our island.
“Alongside the broader, amazing Glencree community they have a key role to play in turning this urgent mission into practical reality. I am proud to have them join a great board and institution.”
