Conor McGregor prepares for latest trademark battle
Fighter Conor McGregor is gearing up for a trademark battle with Séamus O’Hara, founder of the Carlow Brewing Company, over the planned launch of his “Notorious” whiskey brand.
It’s the latest in a series of trademark battles that Mr McGregor is embroiled in.
Mr O’Hara owns a European trademark for “Notorious” covering beer, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks, while Mr McGregor has applied for a European trademark for “Notorious” for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Earlier this month, Mr O’Hara formally intervened in Mr McGregor’s application and hired Madrid-based law firm A2 Estudio Legal to fight his case. Mr McGregor is instructing Dublin firm FR Kelly.
