Cork commercial firms merge to create JRAP O’Meara
Cork law firms James Riordan and Partners Solicitors (JRAP) and Barry M. O’Meara & Son Solicitors have announced a merger.
The new firm, JRAP O’Meara, is one of Cork’s largest commercial firms with more than 20 solicitors practicing in commercial law and litigation matters, particularly in commercial agreements, employment law, dispute resolution, banking, insolvency and property transactions.
John McLaughlin, managing partner of JRAP, said: “Our firms share synergy; a common culture, values and vision. We are confident in coming together we will strengthen our core areas of practice.”
Emer O’Callaghan, managing partner of Barry M. O’Meara & Son, said the merger “enhances our tailored, partner-led service to our clients with a dominant presence in Cork, Munster and nationwide”.
Simon Murphy, former president of the Law Society of Ireland, becomes a partner of the newly-formed firm. He added: “Our firms, rooted in tradition and incomparable experience, are a natural fit.”
JRAP O’Meara is now operating from 89/90 South Mall, Cork.
