Cork law students go head-to-head in annual gala moot
Law students in Cork have gone head-to-head in a moot before High Court judges Mr Justice Twomey and Mr Justice Gearty.
Third year law students at UCC School of Law competed in the city’s courthouse in a case which was eventually decided in favour of the respondents, represented by students Donal O’Sullivan and Colm Bohane.
Local lawyer Sally Donegan presented the award of “outstanding speaker” to Isobel Carruthers-Kenny, while Kelly Coyle was acknowledged by the judges as the best speaker on the presentation of the case for the appellants.
The law school thanked the judges, the courthouse staff and Sally Donegan & Co Solicitors for making the event possible.
