Coroner Terence Casey retires at 70
Terence Casey, coroner for South and East Kerry, retired over the weekend, the Irish Examiner reports.
Mr Casey, a solicitor, became deputy coroner in 1994 and later became full-time coroner.
Turning 70 on Saturday, Mr Casey presided in Killarney Coroner’s Court for the last time on Friday.
He was paid tributes by gardaĆ, the jury, Kerry County Council and a representative from the National Union of Journalists.
