Court sittings disrupted by cold snap

Court sittings have been cancelled or delayed as a result of the cold weather and snow causing havoc across the State.

The Courts Service announced yesterday evening that Carlow and Kilkenny courthouses will not open today.

The sittings due to take place in those courthouses today will instead take place tomorrow.

Court office opening times and court sittings in the four counties of Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary have been put back to 12 noon.
