NI: Craobh na Cúirte raises £350 for Law Society charity
An Irish language solicitors’ group raised £350 in support of the Law Society of Northern Ireland’s chosen charity for 2016.
A quiz night hosted by Craobh na Cúirte at the Pavillion Bar on the Ormeau Road raised the sum in support of CLIC Sargent.
RoiAine Hamill, who helped to organise the quiz night, presented the cheque to John Guerin, president of the Law Society, and Nadine Campbell, NI fundraising manager for CLIC Sargent.
Ms Hamill told Irish Legal News: “Craobh na Cúirte is an Irish language interest-group for those working or involved with law and the Courts, whose Belfast branch was founded by Michael Flanigan, solicitor.
“We were delighted to have supported the Society’s chosen charity of the year, CLIC Sargent and we hope the money raised will go to supporting families and those affected by cancer.”
The Society has thanked everyone who participated in the quiz night.
