Darren Lehane SC elected president of Irish Maritime Law Association
Darren Lehane SC has been elected as president of the Irish Maritime Law Association.
The barrister will work alongside a senior leadership team consisting of vice-president Hugh Kennedy, treasurer Joseph Richardson and secretary Dermot Conway.
The Irish Maritime Law Association (IMLA) was founded in 1963 and is a member of the Comité Maritime International.
The IMLA provides a valuable forum for all those based in Ireland who are engaged in international trade whether officials, merchants, shipowners, insurers, bankers or lawyers.
Speaking after his election at the association’s AGM, Mr Lehane said: “I look forward to working with my fellow committee members and the broader IMLA membership in advancing the aims of the association domestically and internationally over the next 12 months.”
