Department of Justice to appoint new secretary general
A secretary general to the Department of Justice could be recruited by the end of the year, The Irish Times reports.
Noel Waters has been acting secretary general since the post became vacant in 2014.
Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald has said that Mr Waters is “doing an extremely good job” and the Department will “shortly” look into filling the post permanently.
Ms Fitzgerald added: “We’ll have to see what process we will use to deal with it.”
