Domnhall O’Cathain elected president of Brehon Law Society
US attorney Domnhall O’Cathain, who hails from Co Cork, has been elected president of the Brehon Law Society of New York.
Mr O’Cathain is a partner in the personal injury department of New Jersey-based Marzano-Lesnevich, O’Cathain & O’Cathain LLC.
A native of Ballincollig and a graduate of University College Cork, he built his legal career in the US while maintaining his Irish links, serving at one point as president of the Irish American Bar Association of New York.
The Brehon Law Society, established in 1978, is made up of US lawyers, judges and other legal professionals. It calls for Irish unity but describes its principal purpose as defending human rights in Northern Ireland.
