Double appointment at Maynooth Department of Law

Dr Cian Ó Concubhair
Maynooth University has appointed Dr Avril Brandon and Dr Cian Ó Concubhair as assistant professors in the Department of Law.
Dr Brandon, who joined the university in September, has been promoted to assistant professor of criminology, while Dr Ó Concubhair has joined the department as assistant professor of criminal justice.
Dr Brandon is researching the impact of ethnic prejudice in the criminal justice system, particularly the prison-release experience of members of the Traveller community.
Dr Ó Concubhair, who was previously a lecturer at University of Oxford and the University of Southampton, primarily researches in the area of policing (specifically police ethnography) and criminal law.
