Dr Patricia O'Lynn joins Law Society of Northern Ireland team

The Law Society of Northern Ireland has appointed Dr Patricia O’Lynn as its new head of policy and engagement.

“Patricia brings a wealth of experience from various public and academic roles to her new role,” the Law Society said in a statement.

A former politician, Dr O’Lynn was the Alliance Party MLA for North Antrim from May 2022 until March 2023. She was previously a councillor in Mid and East Antrim Borough Council and also served as a special political adviser to justice minister Naomi Long.

She has also worked as an executive director, academic researcher and education consultant. Her PhD from Queen’s University Belfast is in school exclusion.
