Dublin lawyer David Nolan appointed compliance chief at Principal Financial
Dublin lawyer David Nolan has been appointed head of a Dublin-based compliance team at Principal Financial Group.
Principal is a global financial investment management and insurance company with an operating income of over $1.1 billion per year.
Mr Nolan has over 20 years’ experience in financial services and regulatory compliance working in both industry and practice across the asset management and investment funds industry.
Prior to his appointment, he was the European head of risk and compliance at MaplesFS, covering the fund administration, fiduciary and law firm businesses.
From 2012 to 2016, he was responsible for the regulatory advisory business of the Dublin office of Maples and Calder.
Mr Nolan has a LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Nottingham, a professional certificate in compliance from University College Dublin, and an advanced diploma in white collar, corporate and regulatory crime from the King’s Inns.
