Dublin presence ‘important’ for Pinsent Masons in wake of Brexit
A presence in Dublin is “particularly important” to Pinsent Masons in the wake of Brexit, the head of the firm’s Belfast office has said.
Andrea McIlroy-Rose spoke following the announcement of the firm’s unaudited results for 2016-17, which shows global turnover increased by 11 per cent to £423.1 million.
Commenting on the results, Ms McIlroy-Rose said: “Our performance as demonstrated by these figures is very encouraging, and we are delighted to have played our part in the Northern Ireland market.
“Stand-out recent deals include acting on the separate sale and/or purchase of 8 of the main shopping centres and retail parks in NI; the purchase of Viridian by I-Squared Capital; acting for international investment fund MedicX in the development of the Kings Hall complex as a primary care village; the creation of NI’s first enterprise and data centre site for Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and the new student accommodation project for Queen’s University.
“With our new Dublin office planned to open in the Autumn, we are looking forward with confidence to providing an all-Island offering.
“Pinsent Masons was already one of only a handful of firms who can operate throughout the UK with offices in Scotland and England along with Belfast but a Republic of Ireland presence is particularly important in the current post-Brexit climate.”
