Dublin primed to become major legal outsourcing hub
Dublin is on its way to becoming a major legal outsourcing hub in the wake of the Brexit vote, according to one new outsourcing outfit.
Dan Fox (pictured), CEO of Johnson Hana International (JHI), told The Lawyer that it plans to expand from its current staff of 10 to more than 200 on the back of Brexit.
Its aims to provide UK and Irish firms with the attractive option of saving money by outsourcing process-driven work.
Mr Fox said: “We’re going to see further growth over the coming months. We were getting queries from law firms pre-Brexit and now we’re getting emails and calls all the time as businesses consider the Republic of Ireland for the first time.
“Our mission is to turn Dublin into the data review hub of Europe.”
JHI, which currently serves a number of local Irish firms, carries out process-driven work for litigation, compliance and contract law, as well as due diligence work for mergers and acquisitions.
It recently recruited high-profile lawyers including Jennifer Caldwell, former managing partner at Maples and Calder Ireland, and Stuart Margetson, a former litigation partner at Matheson.
