Dublin Solicitors Bar Association names new president
The Dublin Solicitors Bar Association (DSBA) has named Robert Ryan as its new president following its recent AGM.
Mr Ryan will now head Ireland’s largest bar association, which has over 3,000 members, for the next year.
He is the principal solicitor of Doherty Ryan & Associates and was admitted as an Irish solicitor in 1986 and as an English solicitor in 1991.
Mr Ryan told Irish Legal News: “I am honoured to be elected President of the DSBA, being the largest bar association in Ireland.
“I look forward to continuing the good work which the DSBA, on limited resources, undertakes for the solicitor profession in Dublin and beyond.
“The focus is, and will remain, on representing DSBA members on issues that concern their practice of the law and on providing practical information through our first class Seminars and award-winning business magazine The Parchment.
“In addition, and drawing upon my 30+ years’ experience as a solicitor across small, medium and large firms, I will be aiming to reach out to the whole of the DSBA membership spectrum.”
