Dublin solicitors struck off roll of solicitors
Dublin solicitors Keith Flynn and Lyndsey Clarke have been struck off the roll of solicitors following findings of professional misconduct, the Irish Independent reports.
The pair practised as Keith Flynn & Company in the Capel Building on Mary’s Abbey until the practice closed in 2016.
In 2016, Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found that they had allowed a deficit of around €40,302 on the client account as of November that year.
The “chaotic” practice had led to claims worth €231,999 from the Law Society’s compensation fund, of which just €133,000 had been recovered.
Mr Justice Peter Kelly ordered that the lawyers’ names be struck off the roll and that they should pay legal costs of €8,288.
However, he placed a 12-month stay on the costs order owing to the lawyers’ dependants.
