NI: Dundee University, popular NI student destination, ranked third for law in UK
The University of Dundee, a favourite choice of Northern Ireland law students, has been ranked third for law in this year’s Guardian University guide.
Northern Ireland’s Lord Chief Justice Sir Declan Morgan praised the Scottish university in 2016 for producing a strong cohort of Northern Ireland lawyers.
The university tweeted: “We’re elated with this result, and many thanks to all those staff, administrators and students that made it possible!”
The University of Cambridge was ranked first, while Oxford University took second place.
Dundee scored particularly well for career prospects, with a result of 92, secondly only to UCL in the top ten.
Professor Stuart Cross of Dundee Law School told our sister publication, Scottish Legal News: “This is an outstanding result which reflects the strong partnership between staff and students at Dundee which is built on a commitment to academic and practical excellence and recognises the importance of supporting students in their academic journey. This result means that Dundee Law School is now ranked in the top 10 in all three main UK University league tables.”
