DWF Belfast has raised £3,500 for the law firm’s charitable arm at its annual fundraising quiz night.
The event at the Black Box Belfast brought together a full house, including teams from banks, property agents and insurance brokers from across Northern Ireland.
The DWF Foundation, an independent charity founded by DWF, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and has to date made more than £1.3 million in donations to charitable causes worldwide.
This includes over £56,000 donated to charities across Northern Ireland, including Northern Ireland Hospice, Towell Building Trust, Flourish NI and SistersIN in the past 12 months alone.
Guest speaker Rebecca Preece Babb from Northern Ireland Hospice told the event about the vital support the charity has received through the DWF Foundation.
Eimhear Lynch, claims advocate at Lockton Belfast, who led the winning team on the night, said: “The DWF Foundation quiz night was a fantastic event and we were delighted to take part.
“It was a great opportunity to connect with others across the business community in a fun and engaging setting, and we’re thrilled that our team came away with the win!
“Most importantly, it was all in support of a very worthy cause and we’re proud to have contributed to such a successful evening.”
Julie Galbraith, managing partner of DWF in Belfast, added: “Our annual quiz night is always a highlight of the year, bringing colleagues and clients together for a fantastic cause.
“The generosity shown makes a real difference to the charities supported by the DWF Foundation in Northern Ireland and beyond, and we would like to extend sincere thanks to everyone who attended and donated.
“While all of our fundraising teams are winners in my eyes, congratulations must go to Lockton who took first place in this year’s quiz.”
