Belfast firm Edwards & Co. Solicitors has announced the appointment of David Sturgess as a partner and head of the firm’s property team.

Mr Sturgess, a University of Manchester graduate, joined the firm in February 2015, bringing almost 20 years’ experience as a solicitor specialising in property matters.

The firm said he is “the ideal person to take on the responsibility of overseeing our growing property department”.

Mr Sturgess’ caseload includes dealing with developers in site acquisitions, landlord and tenant issues, commercial leases and licences. He also advises various housing associations.

He also works closely with charities, advising trustees on their duties, liabilities and responsibilities with regard to acquisitions.
