Eileen Finn BL
Barrister Eileen Finn passed away on Saturday at Blackrock Hospice.
Ms Finn, a tax law specialist, had previously written for The Irish Times on living with motor neurone disease following her diagnosis in 2012.
David Barniville, former chairman of The Bar of Ireland, paid tribute on Twitter, writing: “Very sad news about the passing of our colleague Eileen Finn BL. A very brave woman.”
She is reposing at Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Home, Cranford Centre, Stillorgan Road (opposite UCD Flyover) from 5pm to 8pm today, according to rip.ie.
Funeral Mass is taking place tomorrow at the Church of St. Thérèse, Mount Merrion, at 10am, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, should be to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association or Blackrock Hospice. A donation box will be available at the church.
