Employment lawyer Melanie Crowley appointed to American Bar Association committee
Irish employment lawyer Melanie Crowley has been appointed as co-chair of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) international labour and employment law committee.
Ms Crowley, who has been a member of the ABA for over 17 years, is a partner and head of employment law at Mason Hayes & Curran (MHC) in Dublin, representing a number of employers in Ireland and the US.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms Crowley said: “I am honoured to have been asked by the ABA to take on the role of co-chair of the international labour and employment law committee.
“The ABA is a proud representative of the legal profession, with the goal of serving both their members and the public with law-related resources and updates on legislative developments.
“I look forward to working with the international labour and employment law committee to further promote this goal.”
A graduate of UCD, Ms Crowley is also on the advisory board of the American Employment Lawyers Council and a member of the UK’s Employment Lawyers’ Association and the Employment Lawyers’ Association of Ireland (ELAI).
She was recognised as a “Leading Individual” by Who’s Who Legal Labour & Employment 2018, the only Irish lawyer to be awarded this status.
