Eversheds Sutherland celebrates 50 years in Ireland
Eversheds Sutherland has celebrated the firm’s 50 years in Ireland with a gathering of colleagues, friends and clients.
Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan spoke at the anniversary event, highlighting the firm’s achievements over half a century and wishing it continued success. He also spoke about the challenges and opportunities facing the legal services sector in the years to come.
Founding partner Rory O’Donnell also spoke, addressing the genesis of the firm and the changes he has seen over 50 years.
He spoke warmly about clients who have been with the firm since the start - some of whom were in attendance - and the quality of service provided by the new generation of lawyers in its Dublin office.
Managing partner Alan Murphy talked about Mr O’Donnell’s reputation for attention to detail and the strong commercial instincts that propelled him to the top of the legal profession.
He also spoke about the appetite of Eversheds Sutherland to take risks, which had allowed the firm to grow and thrive in new areas and positioned it as an innovator in the field.
Mr Murphy added: “The firm will continue to take risks and add new services such as the recent addition of ES Consulting to our service offering. Eversheds Sutherland is a bold firm, committed locally and connected globally and we’re very excited about the future and the opportunities it will bring.”
