NI: First TRADATA training event an ‘outstanding success’
The Law Society of Northern Ireland has said the first of two TRADATA training events on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been an outstanding success.
The training event took place at the Crown Plaza Hotel on Friday as part of a partnership between the Law Society and the EU.
The Society has partnered with eight other EU countries to provide comprehensive training on the looming data protection reform.
The first event was sold out, reflecting the interest in GDPR and how it will impact on law firms and their clients.
Contributors included Clare Bates, partner at Carson McDowell; Eoin O’Dell, academic and lawyer; Briony Rimmer from Advanced Legal; Steven Goldblatt from Leaf; and James MacGuill.
The second event is taking place at Law Society House on Friday.
