Gardaí whistleblower inquiry to be filmed
TV cameras will be allowed to film the tribunal of inquiry into allegations that An Garda Síochána officials directed a campaign to discredit whistleblowers in the media.
At the request of Mr Justice Peter Charleton, chair of the tribunal, TV cameras and press photographers will be allowed in for the first time in an Irish tribunal of inquiry, The Irish Times reported on Friday.
However, it is not clear whether this will include permission to broadcast witnesses giving evidence some months from now.
