Granite Legal Services raises £10,000 for suicide charity
Newry-based Granite Legal Services and Granite Exchange have donated £10,000 to their 2023 charity partner PIPS Hope and Support.
PIPS Hope and Support offers face-to-face counselling and therapy services to individuals who have been affected by suicide, extending support to families, friends, and colleagues. They also provide information and training to help increase awareness around issues such as mental health and trauma.
Their services are provided to those across the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Newry, Mourne & Down Council and Upper Bann Council Areas.
Jonathan McKeown, founder of Granite Exchange and Granite Legal Services, expressed his gratitude to the work of the staff and volunteers of PIPS Hope and Support during another challenging year for those helping to support people affected by suicide.
PIPS executive director Renee Quinn said: “We are extremely grateful for this generous donation from Granite Exchange and Granite Legal Services which will support us in our mission against suicide.
“We would like to thank the team and their supporters who have worked tirelessly on their fundraising efforts.
“As we are a non-government funded charity, we rely heavily on the generosity and kindness of individuals and groups such as the fantastic teams in Granite Exchange and Granite Legal Services who have continually supported us in helping to keep our doors open and provide our lifesaving services across Northern Ireland.”
