Hibernian Law Journal appoints Joshua Kieran-Glennon as editor-in-chief
The Hibernian Law Journal has named Joshua Kieran-Glennon as editor-in-chief for its forthcoming 22nd volume.
Mr Kieran-Glennon, a deputy editor of the outgoing board, is a trainee solicitor at McCann FitzGerald LLP, and succeeds Julia Launders in the role of editor-in-chief.
He said: “I am delighted to be appointed editor-in-chief of Volume 22 of the Hibernian Law Journal. I’m hugely grateful for the support I’ve received from my predecessors, and from the Law Society. I look forward to building on the successes of Volume 21 as we begin the process of compiling Volume 22.”
Applications for membership of the editorial board will open shortly, with a call for submissions to follow.
Established in 1999 under the patronage of the Law Society of Ireland, the Journal is edited by trainee and newly qualified solicitors. It contributes to the Irish legal community through the running of its annual lecture together with the publication of the Journal each year.
The editorial board of Volume 21 also recently presented the Hibernian Law Medal to former president Mary Robinson, and former UK Supreme Court president Baroness Hale of Richmond. Mr Justice Michael Quinn serves as judge-in-residence of the Journal.
The Journal is kindly supported by its benefactors drawn from the Inner Bar and its sponsor firms Matheson, McCann FitzGerald, William Fry and Eversheds Sutherland.
