High Court judge in attack on legal ‘misinformation’
High Court judge Mr Justice Seamus Noonan has blamed “misinformation” for a series of judicial review applications which he dismissed yesterday.
According to The Irish Times, Mr Justice Noonan dismissed several similar applications for a judicial review of repossession orders issued by Circuit Court judges.
Each of the actions cited the alleged failure by financial institutions to provide adequate evidence proving their ownership of the debt.
Mr Justice Noonan said that and other grounds in the applications were “not suitable for judicial review”.
The applicants, each of whom represented themselves in court, said they had received legal advice from a friend.
The judge said it appeared there is “a lot of misinformation out there”.
