NI: Horwich Farrelly appointed to Crown Commercial Service panel
Specialist insurance industry law firm Horwich Farrelly has welcomed its appointment to the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Wider Public Sector Legal Services Framework.
The three-year appointment will see the firm, which expanded into Northern Ireland with the opening of a Belfast office this year, provide legal services to public sector bodies in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The framework is used by a wide range of public sector organisations including local authorities, social housing providers, emergency services, healthcare trusts and education providers.
Horwich Farrelly will assist with litigation and dispute resolution issues, including personal injury.
Ronan McCann, partner at Horwich Farrelly, said: “Our appointment to the CCS panel is great news for Horwich Farrelly – and for public sector organisations tackling spurious claims.
“We are looking forward to applying our insurance fraud expertise to the public sector where resources are under increasing pressure. And whilst the firm is new to Lot One of the panel, it is a strong testament to the dedication of our team and the success of our work over the past few years that we have been appointed. Our experts in insurance litigation will provide impressive results for the public sector.”
He added: “The appointment also marks an important moment in the history and growth of the business. As well as having a strong network of offices and experts across the UK, earlier this year we opened our Belfast office, which will enable us to provide local expertise for public sector organisations in Northern Ireland that need legal assistance.”
