NI: House price growth slows in third quarter of 2016
The growth of house prices in Northern Ireland slowed in the third quarter of the year, according to new figures from the Northern Ireland Statistics & Research Agency.
NISRA’s latest NI Residential Property Price Index shows prices in Q3 2016 were up 5.4 per cent compared to the same quarter in 2015, but rose by only 0.8 per cent on Q2 2016.
All district council areas showed an increase over the quarter, except for Lisburn and Castlereagh where they were unchanged, and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, and Belfast, where they decreased.
The average standardised price for Northern Ireland as a whole was £124,093 and ranged from £104,689 in Derry City and Strabane to £149,269 in Lisburn and Castlereagh.
The number of deals completed in the third quarter was 5,200.
