Immigration lawyers organise biggest-ever event
A record-breaking 200 people attended a conference organised by the Irish Immigration Lawyers Association (IILA) late last year.
The association, founded in 2021 by solicitors specialising in immigration law, exists to promote and improve advice and representation in immigration, citizenship, asylum and EU free movement law.
Solicitors and barristers were among more than 200 guests at its biggest-ever event on 22 November 2024 at the Law Society of Ireland.
Expert speakers included KOD Lyons partner Stephen Kirwan, barrister Patricia Brazil SC, Gibson & Associates consultant John Stanley BL and barrister Anthony Lowry BL.
Law Society president Eamon Harrington also attended and addressed attendees.
“The presentations were all of exceptional value and extremely relevant to the work of practitioners working in or interested in the area of immigration, citizenship and asylum,” the association said.
“The presentations were followed by engaging and interesting question and answer sessions.
“IILA is extremely grateful to the panel of speakers who generously gave up their time to address members at the event.”
