In pictures… Walkers welcomes five interns to Dublin office
Five interns have joined Walkers in Dublin as part of the international law firm’s annual summer internship programme.
The programme is a ten-week paid internship which is run in tandem with the firm’s trainee solicitor programme.
Pictured above with managing partner Garry Ferguson are new interns Emmajane Tonery (NUI Galway), Emer Rooney (UCD), Maximillian Searson (UCD), Julia Noonan (Trinity College Dublin and DIT) and Mark O’Reilly (NUI Maynooth).
The firm told Irish Legal News: “The purpose of the programme is to give an insight into what it is really like to work as a trainee and ultimately as a solicitor in a pre-eminent financial services law firm.
“They will spend two five week rotations in two practice groups and a mentor will be assigned to each intern to ensure they are fully integrated into their teams. Upon completion, the interns will have gained valuable working insights into the life of a practising solicitor.”
Walkers added: “We wish all our interns the very best as they set off on their legal careers.”
